Prof. (Dr.) Rajiv Ganguly is currently a Professor and Dean of University of Engineering & Management, Salt Lake, Kolkata. He has done his Ph. D.(Engg.) on Development of Semiconducting Thin Films for Sensor Technology from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He completed his graduation in 1994 and post-graduation in Physics from University of Calcutta in 1996. He has received National Scholarship twice in his career. He is also reviewer of prestigious international journals like – IEEE Electron Device Letters, International Journal of Low Carbon Technologies etc. He is also a member of professional societies like – IEEE(USA), International Association of Engineers (IAENG), SPIE (USA), OSA(USA). He has served the academics for about 26 years and has an industry experience of about a year in the capacity of Vice President heading the Western India operations.

Prof. Ganguly has a vast experience in teaching, research and project implementation in the field of Solar PV and Energy efficient solid-state lighting in various parts of the country. He has successfully implemented projects in academic, healthcare, industry, commercial establishments, intelligent buildings and many other such places. He is considered to be one of the Technical Advisors of Newtown Kolkata Smart City Corporation for implementation and modernization of various projects in Newtown, Kolkata.
